Being part of the KVP Creator Team is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer. There’s something magical about watching a group of high school girls come together, each with their own personality, style, and confidence — and falling in love with them individually and as a group. The Creator Team is a low-commitment, fun way for sophomore to senior girls to participate in photoshoots they help plan, vote on themes, and get creative with outfits. Seniors also get their official senior photos included in these sessions.
This time, the girls voted for a Greek Gods and Goddesses theme, and I’ll admit, I wasn’t thrilled at first. But sometimes you just have to trust the magic of the team. We rented 726 Studio downtown, using both the crisp white wall with two 5’8” handmade columns and the deep blue-gray area with furniture and plants. Both areas offered a unique, elevated vibe that felt very Greek yet kept the focus on the girls themselves.
I had high hopes for building full-scale Greek columns but learned quickly that life and time weren’t on my side. After a little trial and error — some DIY attempts, Lowes trips, and ultimately downsizing — the smaller columns worked beautifully. With minimal props beyond the studio setup, the focus remained squarely on the girls’ outfits, personalities, and poses.
Lily came prepared as Athena, complete with a spear and shield. Her serious, fierce expressions were perfect for the Warrior Goddess vibe, and she owned every shot. Even in a short 45-minute group session, her confidence and intensity translated beautifully in the photos, making her images stand out as both strong and graceful.
Dixie, my daughter, went as Artemis. Being in front of my camera forever has given her the ease to try anything — and she did. Her energy, comfort, and willingness to experiment made every shot effortless and dynamic. She truly embodies the adventurous spirit of the goddess she portrayed.
Selena leaned into Poseidon with her masculine, commanding vibe — a perfect contrast to the other more traditionally feminine goddesses. Her strong presence and confidence brought a unique edge to the session, making her shots unforgettable.
Neveah naturally exuded the leadership and poise of Hera. Her regal energy and modeling instincts shone through in every frame, giving the images a sense of authority and elegance that perfectly matched the goddess she represented.
Alison brought sweetness and charm as Aphrodite, embodying elegance and grace in every shot. Her soft, effortless expressions made her images radiant, showing that beauty and confidence can coexist beautifully.
Sabrina, as Persephone, brought fun and playfulness to the session. Her bright personality and infectious energy added a lighthearted balance to the group, capturing candid moments and joyful expressions that made the session truly memorable.
One of my favorite parts of the session was letting the girls interact naturally. I even told them to chat casually while I captured candid shots — laughter, playful teasing, and genuine connections made the session magical. Together, they looked like the cover of a magazine, each girl shining individually while also complementing the group perfectly.
This Greek Goddess senior photoshoot was a perfect example of what makes the KVP Creator Team special: individuality, creativity, and pure fun. For parents and seniors in the West Valley, I want you to know that I understand how much these photos matter — capturing confidence, personality, and memories that will last a lifetime. If you’re looking for a unique senior girl’s photoshoot in the West Valley, AZ, these sessions are a perfect way to celebrate who your teen is, in a way that feels personal, creative, and unforgettable.
