Let’s Talk Photos: Your Questions, My Answers
-
Yes! I’m based in Avondale, AZ, but I photograph families and seniors all over the West Valley including Goodyear, Litchfield Park, Buckeye, Surprise, Glendale, and Peoria. If you’re in the Phoenix metro, chances are I’ve photographed nearby. Some locations may require travel or permit fees, but I’ll always let you know ahead of time.
-
Absolutely—I have a list of favorite outdoor spots and studios across the West Valley that photograph beautifully. From desert trails with golden light to hidden green parks and urban backdrops, I’ll help you choose a location that fits your family’s vibe or your graduate’s personality.
-
Sessions start at $225. Every session includes a set number of high-resolution digital images, an online gallery for easy sharing, and personal-use printing rights. You’ll also have the option to order professional prints, wall art, and albums directly through me so your images look their absolute best.
-
Family and senior sessions usually run about 45–60 minutes. You can expect a gallery of 30+ beautifully edited images to choose from, with the final number depending on the session you book.
-
I know waiting is the hardest part! If you want me to choose your photos it will take 2 weeks. If you want me to lightly edit the photos and you pick the digitals, you like best then it will be 2 weeks after you make your final decisions.
-
Yes—I provide light retouching on all final images to ensure you look your best (think blemishes, distractions in the background, or flyaway hairs). If you’d like more extensive edits, just let me know and we can discuss options.
-
No—RAW files are not included. Part of my art is the editing process, and your final gallery will represent my professional style. You’ll receive fully edited, high-resolution JPEGs that are ready to print and share.
-
I do! Once you book, I’ll send over a styling guide with tips and color palettes that work beautifully on camera. I’m also happy to give feedback on outfits you’re considering. My goal is to help you feel confident and comfortable while making sure your photos look timeless.
-
In Arizona, the weather is usually on our side, but monsoons do happen. If the weather isn’t cooperating, I’ll reach out and we’ll reschedule at no extra cost. Your session fee will always carry over.
-
The only possible extras would be travel beyond my usual service area, studio rental fees, or location permits if needed. I’ll always talk through these ahead of time so there are no surprises.
-
That’s my sweet spot! I don’t expect kids (or adults) to be perfect in front of the camera. I guide with gentle posing but also let personalities shine through. I’ve got plenty of tricks to help shy teens relax and little ones have fun. Some of the most emotional, storytelling images come out of those in-between moments.
-
Booking is simple—once you’ve chosen your session type, I’ll send over a short contract and invoice. A retainer secures your date, and the balance is due by your session. From there, we plan locations, outfits, and details together so your session feels completely personal to you.
