Sweet Memories at the Waddell Farmers Market!

Whew, it’s getting hot in there! So hot, in fact, that I’ve decided to take a photo booth hiatus at the Waddell Get Local Farmers Market until the cooler days of fall. Even with all the delicious smells and friendly faces, it’s just too much to ask folks to look their picture-perfect best while roasting in the booth. But don’t worry, I’ll be back! This past season at the market has been a blast, and I have so many sweet memories to hold onto until then.

I’ve been lucky enough to capture some wonderful families at the market this season, each with their own unique charm. Just this past Sunday, I had the pleasure of photographing a couple of adorable families, including one with the sweetest little boy and his dog who totally stole the show! These moments are what make the market so special. It’s all about connecting with people, sharing passions, and supporting local businesses. There’s a real sense of community here, and that makes all the difference.

The Waddell Farmers Market has this amazing “Cheers” vibe. Everyone’s so friendly, and you always bump into someone you know. It’s more than just a place to shop; it’s a place where people know your name. LOL! Could I get more cheese if I tried?

I’m already looking forward to bringing my photobooth back to this amazing community in the fall. I love the Waddell Farmers Market, and I can’t wait to see everyone again (and maybe some furry friends too!) when the weather cools down. A Salazar Family Christmas Photoshoot

The Salazar family has always held a special place in my heart. I’ve not only had the privilege of capturing their growth over the years, but I’ve also had both girls in my Girl Scout troop for a decade now.

What I love about Sonya is she is always game when I ask if we can try a new location out. This park was simply breathtaking. A stunning mountain in the background, while lush green grass and tree-lined walkways created a picturesque setting. The Salazars, dressed in shades of green and black, which blended seamlessly with the natural beauty of the park.

Sonya and Jose, the heart of the family, were game for anything, even a spontaneous dance session in the middle of the park, as cars drove past. Their deep love for each other was obvious, and it was a joy to capture those tender moments.

Sabrina and Selena, the older sisters, have the most beautiful flowing, raven-black hair. Sabrina, is more of the quiet one, with a gentle soul. Selena, on the other hand, is a social butterfly, always ready with a joke or a smile. Yet, they shared a sisterly love that is strong and sweet.

Their boys, JR and Joey, were bundles of energy. Joey, the younger one, was always on the move, exploring every nook and cranny of the park. JR, on the other hand, was a master of facial expressions, from adorable frowns to heartwarming smiles.

As a photographer, it’s moments like these that make my job truly rewarding. The Salazar family’s warmth, love, and genuine connection make them a dream to work with. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this amazing family and to continue capturing their precious moments.

A Sweet Holiday Photoshoots at the Get Local Waddell Farmers Market

The holiday season was in full swing at the Get Local Farmers Market, and it’s been a joy capturing these precious moments. I partnered with MM Ranch Services Mobile Petting Zoo people could choose an animal from the petting to be a part of their photoshoot. The adorable hot cocoa backdrop was perfect for these mini sessions complete with a bale of hay.

One of my favorite moments was capturing a little girl in a Santa dress with Lucy the bunny. Her eyes sparkled with delight as she cuddled sweet Lucy. It was a heartwarming sight that perfectly encapsulated the holiday spirit.

We’ve also had the pleasure of photographing families with Bubbles the calf. Sweet Bubbles is always a hit with the kids, and the photos we’ve captured are simply adorable. Just take look.

But it’s not just about the big animals. We’ve had some heartwarming moments with the smaller creatures too. One little boy’s face lit up as he held a tiny baby chick in his hands. It was a pure expression of joy that I was lucky enough to capture.

A Christmas Barnyard Bash: Capturing Adorable Moments at the Waddell Farmers Market

As a West Phoenix, AZ based photographer, I’m always on the lookout for unique photo opportunities. The Get Local Waddell Farmers Market at Canyon View High School (6024 N. Perryville Rd, Waddell, AZ) has proven to be the perfect backdrop for a fun-filled day of capturing precious moments for those wanting to support local. There are so many amazing vendors is you are looking for honey, raw milk, cheese, bread and so many arts and crafts!

The market is always more special thanks to the adorable animals from MM Ranch Services. From, Jolene the donkey, to the playful Bubbles the calf, and the ever-popular Spider Pig, there is a farm animal for everyone. The combination of these charming creatures with the cozy backdrop of a hot cocoa stand created a truly magical atmosphere for a photoshoot.

I had the pleasure of photographing a diverse range of people, from a birthday girl celebrating her special day to adorable baby boys and best friends. One particularly memorable moment was when someone requested a photo with a duck! Apparently, his coworkers had been leaving rubber ducks on his desk..

A Dream Come True: A Photoshoot with Bubbles the Calf

A few years ago, I had a unique photo request: a photoshoot with a cow. At the time, I wasn’t sure how I would make this dream a reality. But fate had other plans.

Last year, while working at the Waddell Get Local Farmers Market, I met Kim, the owner of MM Ranch Services. We immediately hit it off, and I shared my client’s unusual request. Kim was enthusiastic and offered to bring her adorable calf, Bubbles, to a future photoshoot.

Fast forward to this year, and the moment we had been waiting for finally arrived. My client, Peytin, came to the Get Local Farmers Market in Waddell, AZ, ready to meet Bubbles. However, she didn’t want a festive Christmas backdrop. Instead, she envisioned a simple, elegant photoshoot that would highlight her connection with the calf.

The result was pure magic. These photos are some of my favorites because they capture not only Bubbles’s sweetness but also Peytin’s kindness and beauty. It’s a testament to the power of dreams and the joy of fulfilling them.

A Christmas to Remember: Photos with MM Ranch Mobile Petting Zoo Farm Animals

November 3, 2024 was a magical day at the Get Local Farmers Market in Waddell, AZ. The air was crisp, the festive spirit was high, and the market was getting ready for the upcoming Christmas season.

I was there to capture the holiday cheer as families gathered for photoshoots against an adorable hot coco stand backdrop. There was a Christmas tree that baby chicks would sit in and an opened “gift” to hold the bunny. The real stars of the show were the adorable farm animals from MM Ranch Services Mobile Petting Zoo.

From cuddly bunnies to playful goats and even a brand-new baby donkey named Jolene, the petting zoo was a hit with kids and adults alike. But once you combine it with sweet photoshoot it’s magic. Bubbles the calf made a return appearance, charming everyone with her gentle nature. It was heartwarming to see the joy on the faces of the children as they interacted with these gentle creatures.

The MM Ranch Services employees even got into the festive spirit, posing for photos with different animals. Their enthusiasm added an extra layer of fun to the event.

The combination of the holiday decorations, the adorable animals, and the happy families made for some truly unforgettable photos. I was honored to be a part of this magical experience and to capture these precious moments.
