As a family and graduate photographer here in Avondale, AZ, I’m used to capturing precious moments in parks, homes, and studios. But recently, I had the absolute pleasure of stepping into a world of pure enchantment for a maternity session, and I just had to share the experience.

It wasn’t just any maternity session; it was for the incredibly talented Jackie Balbuena, a fellow photographer! Jackie is a momma of two adorable boys and is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby girl. I was beyond excited to collaborate with her and bring her vision to life.
And let me tell you, the location was nothing short of breathtaking. We stepped into a Bridgerton-inspired room in The Studio House in downtown Phoenix, AZ that felt like a scene straight out of the period drama. From the expansive wall with multiple mirrors that seemed to stretch the room into infinity, to the vintage-looking couch that exuded timeless elegance, every detail was meticulously curated. It was honestly a bit overwhelming – in the best way possible!

The soft, filtered light streaming through sheer white curtains created a dreamy ambiance, allowing me to capture beautifully light and airy images. Jackie was a natural in front of the camera, radiating pure joy and maternal glow. It didn’t take long at all to capture some truly stunning moments.
As a mom myself, one photo in particular tugged at my heartstrings. It was a shot of her youngest son, Christian, resting his head gently on her belly.
