Some seniors you meet for a season. Others you’ve watched grow for years.
Alison is one of those rare ones.
She’s graduating this year from Canyon View High School, and while this was her senior session, it felt like so much more than that. I’ve known Alison since she was an adorable little Girl Scout—one of the original girls when I started our troop years ago. Even before scouts I was in a neighborhood mommy group with her beautiful momma. Watching her grow into the confident, grounded young woman she is today has been an absolute gift.
Alison joined the KVP Creator Team last year, and if I had to describe her in one word, it would be consistent. She shows up. Every time. She’s willing, thoughtful, and quietly dependable—the kind of presence every group needs. That steadiness paired with her creativity makes her something special.

As an artist, Alison loves to draw people and animals. And honestly? That makes perfect sense. She sees others for who they are, has a quick wit and a true love of animals. All of that translates beautifully both on paper and in front of the camera. She’s incredibly comfortable being photographed, which allows her personality to shine through effortlessly. She doesn’t try to perform—she simply is. And my lens loves her for it.
Originally, Alison dreamed of having her senior photos taken up north. Flagstaff just wasn’t in the cards with scheduling, but we thought we had Prescott figured out when I was already going to be there for a weekend. And then… rain. Boo indeed.
Plan C turned into a hidden gem.
I had previously seen photos from The Meadow in Mesa, and when I sent Alison their website, she was resounding yes. During the winter months, they host a Christmas tree farm, which gave us the best of both worlds: a woodsy, up-north feel paired with warm Phoenix weather. It was the perfect backdrop for her white dress and cozy open-back sweater—soft, confident, and timeless.
The vibe of the session was exactly what Alison embodies: up-north confidence without trying too hard.
Her mom was there, offering quiet support, and you could feel the love between them. Her dad has always been one of her biggest supporters too, and it shows in the calm confidence Alison carries. She also happens to have a twin—whose senior session we photographed earlier at the Roosevelt Bridge—which made this season even more meaningful for their family.
Alison’s next chapter includes Estrella Mountain Community College, with plans to transfer to NAU, and there’s no doubt in my mind she’ll continue creating, growing, and showing up just like she always has.
Alison, you truly light up my lens. Photographing you has been a joy—from Girl Scout days to Creator Team shoots to this milestone moment. I cannot wait to see where life takes you.
