The best time to schedule your senior photos is 2–4 months before you need them. If your school has a yearbook deadline in the fall, I recommend booking your session during the summer or early fall to make sure your gallery is ready in plenty of time. In the Phoenix area, popular dates—especially weekends in October and November—book up quickly. If you’re hoping for those gorgeous golden desert sunsets or spring wildflowers, it’s a good idea to reserve your session as early as possible. Not sure when your school’s deadline is? No worries! I can help you choose the perfect date based on your graduation timeline.
Beautiful senior portraits are possible year-round with a little planning. During the hotter months, we’ll schedule your session just before sunset when the light is soft, flattering, and the temperatures are much more comfortable. The hour before sunset—often called “golden hour”—creates the warm, glowing light that makes skin tones look amazing and gives your photos that timeless Arizona feel. Whether you’re dreaming of iconic saguaros, mountain views, downtown Phoenix, or a lush park, we’ll choose a location and time that fits your style.
The best outfit is one that makes you feel confident and looks like you. I recommend bringing 2–3 outfits so you have a variety of looks. Here are a few additional tips: wear solid colors or subtle patterns that won’t distract from your face, choose clothes that fit well and make you feel comfortable, bring one casual outfit and one dressier option for variety, and lastly coordinate your shoes and accessories with each outfit.
Absolutely! Your senior session should tell your story, and incorporating things you love is one of the best ways to make your photos unique. Some popular additions include: sports equipment, musical instrument, your first car, graduation cap, hobbies, or favorite animals.
