It’s my job…. capturing moments….is my job—but it’s also how we live. My husband and I made a decision a while back: our kids just had so…much…stuff. So instead of wrapped gifts for their birthdays, we gift our kids’ experiences. Memory-making. Laughter. Something that lasts way longer than plastic packaging.
This year, our daughter wanted something unique—: a trip to the PHX Cat Cafe with her bestie. Um, yes please!
If you haven’t been, you’re missing out. PHX Cat Cafe is nestled in the heart of downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row. It’s cozy, quirky, and crawling (literally) with adoptable cats. You book a spot online for a one-hour visit, grab a delicious coffee, and head into the feline lounge where the real magic happens.
They bring your drink to you inside the cat area, so you can sip while snuggling a sleepy tabby or coaxing a curious kitten with a toy. Each cat is different—some cuddly, some shy—but all are clearly comfortable around people and ready for their next chapter.
Of course, I couldn’t help myself—I brought my camera and snapped some sweet shots of these adoptable cuties. We didn’t bring home a cat (yet), but I hope some of the other guests did. And if not? Just by visiting, you’re supporting a nonprofit doing great work for the community.
