Sometimes, getting creative with photography means stepping into a studio and seeing what you can create with the right people, wardrobe and backdrop. I recently participated in a creative collaboration at Vision Studio with Kate Backdrops, and I loved seeing how each setup brought a different personality and feel to the portraits. These collaborations are a fun reminder that there’s more than one way to tell a story through photographs.
Kelsey looked absolutely radiant in a flowing green gown, holding her belly and looking down. The dreamy fall foliage backdrop felt like the perfect setting for this quiet, beautiful moment. The colors and soft atmosphere came together in a way that made the portrait feel almost like a scene from a storybook.
Michelle brought her own kind of magic to the session. She looked stunning in white against a simple brown paper backdrop, and her smile made the entire look feel warm and inviting. Even while holding a heavy frame, she made it look effortless! Sometimes a simple backdrop is all you need to let the person in front of the camera shine.
Vyna’s floral gown was one of those pieces that made me stop in my tracks. The pink tones paired beautifully with the window backdrop, pulling the colors together without competing with the details of the dress. I love how versatile Kate Backdrops are, from dreamy seasonal scenes to simple paper and architectural designs. Quality and versatility matter to me, and having options like these opens up so many creative possibilities.
Studio photography offers families another way to capture a season of life, celebrate a milestone or simply create something a little different from an outdoor session. With the right setting, wardrobe and a little imagination, a studio portrait can feel completely personal. I’m grateful to Vision Studio for the space to create, Kate Backdrops for the beautiful backdrops and Salt Gowns for the statement-making dresses that helped bring these looks together.
