Jesus is graduating from ASU, and we captured his ASU senior photos in West Phoenix during one of the most relaxed and natural sessions.
He’s quiet, super sweet, and just one of those people who doesn’t need to try hard—he naturally brings a great presence in front of the camera.
And can we talk about his outfits for a second… because wow. His first look was all black—black pants, a long sleeve button-down, the most epic belt, and shoes that pulled it all together. Total GQ vibe. Clean, confident, and honestly one of my favorite looks. Then he switched into a more casual ASU tee with jeans and tennis shoes, and of course his cap and gown. He’s a first-generation graduate, and his sash reflected that—which made those images even more meaningful.

For his ASU senior photos in West Phoenix in Litchfield Park around the pond area, and it could not have been more perfect. His dad’s fiancée, Edna, picked the location, and it ended up being such a great fit. We kept things simple—walking around the water, even grabbing a few shots along the palm tree-lined street nearby.
The lighting that night was unreal. That soft backlight mixed with the reflections off the water? So good.
What I loved most about this session was how easy everything felt. No stress, no overthinking—just a session that naturally flowed from start to finish. Jesus was relaxed the entire time, and honestly, if he was nervous at all, he didn’t show it. His family was amazing, the weather was perfect, and everything just came together exactly how you hope it will.
I always try to grab a shot with family members if they come. Jesus’ dad and girlfriend were happy to help me out.
Tips for Your Senior Photos
Sessions like this are such a good reminder of why I love what I do (I feel like I say this a lot but it’s so true!) —especially working with senior guys. It’s a totally different vibe than senior girls, and I genuinely love it. It’s laid back, real, and always ends up being so much fun in its own way.
If you’re planning you’re an ASU senior in the the West Phoenix, here’s my biggest advice:
Be on time, bring a few different outfit, and make sure everything is comfortable. It makes a huge difference in how your photos turn out.
Spring is such a perfect time for sessions like this—especially at locations like this with water and greenery. And bonus: this spot has free parking and is just an all-around beautiful area to shoot.
